Roger Dwight Brown

Roger Dwight Brown, 74, of Lenoir passed away on February 1, 2022 at his home. Roger was born in Wilkes County on October 8, 1947 to the late Otilla Shores and Ernest Brown. Roger was married for 49 years to Carole Brown. Roger served in the United States Marine Corp from 1971 until 1981. He enjoyed spending time fishing and gardening. Roger retired from Neptco of Granite Falls in 2013 after 27 years of service. In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death by his brother Ralph and his sisters: Carolyn, Lois and Dawn. In addition to his wife, Roger is survived by his children: Catherine Evans, Robin Hollar, David Brown, and Susan Tuttle. He is survived by his grandchildren: Ryan Scott Wilson, Courtney Jones, Cameron Evans, Robert “Drey” Stansell, Devin Stansell, Nadia Hollar and Owen Tuttle. Roger is survived by his 7 great-grandchildren. He leaves behind his brother, Barry Brown, and two sisters: Florence Arney and Dora Bare. The family will hold a service at a later date.
