Rodney Mark Greene

Rodney Mark Greene, 59, of Granite Falls, NC went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 28, 2023.

Rodney was born April 26, 1964, in Jacksonville, Florida.

He is preceded in death by his father, Tommy Greene; grandparents; George and Hessie Starnes, Vilas and Nina Belle Greene; uncles, Tony Starnes, Jack Starnes, Earl Greene; aunts Faye Alley, Azalee Hand, Sadie Anderson; cousin, Teresa Wike and numerous other relatives.

Those left to cherish Rodney’s memory are his mother, Barbara Greene; brother, Jeffrey Greene; sister; Kim Storie; aunt, Marlene Johnson; uncles, Max Greene (Shelia), Jim Greene (Reba); cousins, Cathy Hendrix, Vickie Triplett, Marche Austin, Don Starnes; niece, Samantha Wilcox (Jeff); great nephew, Hunter Wilcox and numerous cousins on the Greene side of the family.

Rodney was Maintenance Supervisor for many years at Bernhardt Furniture.  During his time in maintenance, he decided he wanted to try upholstering.  At his time of passing, Rodney was employed at Kellex Furniture as an upholsterer.  He loved his co-workers and his job.  Rodney was a joker and loved to make others laugh.   He loved animals, especially his dog, Cookie and his cat.  Rodney always said “I Love You” before he left or hung up on a phone call.  He loved his family, and he loved the Lord.

There will be a graveside service held on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Granite Falls, NC, with Pastor Dan Greene officiating.
