Robin Hendrix Lenoir- Robin Campbell Hendrix “Nanny”, 64, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare with her sons and sister by her side. Born July 15, 1956, in Caldwell County, she was the daughter to the late Foster Campbell and Estelena Story Campbell. Robin graduated from Lenoir High School in 1974 and also attended Caldwell Community College. She happily married, the love of her life, Chuck Hendrix in 1974. Robin devoted her life to serving children, their families, and the Lord. She was an active member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church where she volunteered in the children’s nursery and on the Teller Committee. Prior to her sons going to school, Robin provided care for several children in her home. She then started her journey in education as a cafeteria worker at Hudson Elementary School. Robin was led to be a teacher assistant within the Special Education Department of Davenport Elementary School and Hibriten High School for 18 years. She also drove the Special Education school bus and accompanied children to camp. Robin loved and developed a close bond to all the children and families she had the privilege of working with. Later, as a member of First Baptist Hudson, Robin continued serving the Lord as a volunteer for Samaritan’s Purse with Operation Christmas Child. She most recently spent her time providing care for the elderly and homebound. Those in Robin’s life know she was dedicated to her family and spreading the word of God. In addition to her parents, Robin was preceded in death by her loving husband of 31 years, Chuck Hendrix; sisters, Mary Lee Campbell and Lora Campbell. Robin is survived by her sons, Matt Hendrix of Lenoir, and Jon Hendrix (wife Abby) of Stallings; one grandson, Jonathan Hendrix, and granddaughter on the way; and sister, Debbie Earp (husband Charles) of Kernersville.
