Robert Whitener

Mr. Robert Douglas Whitener, age 62, of Lenoir passed away on Monday, August 19, 2019 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare. Born September 19, 1956 in Caldwell County, Robert was a son of Jim and Barbara Higgins.Robert enjoyed playing pool and was the owner and operator of City Billiards and Café. In addition to his parents, he is also survived by a brother, Michael Higgins (wife Sandi); a sister, Brooke Pickrell (husband Jasen); his longtime girlfriend, Karen Summers; he is also survived by a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. A graveside celebration of Robert’s life will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with Michael Higgins and Pastor Dewey Bristol officiating Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.evansfuneralservice.com.
