Robert White

Rev. Robert Lewis White, 76, retired Pastor of Solid Rock Full Gospel Church went home to be with His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 14, 2021.He was a loving, Christian husband, father, brother, and son.He served in the United States Air Force.Pastor White was well known for his work in ministry as a teacher, leader, pastor, and friend.In his last job, he worked as an insurance salesman for B & H Insurance in Madison County, NC. During his lengthy ministry, he helped establish several churches including a special time of service in Terrace, British Columbia, Canada. Throughout his ministry, he remained a faithful servant of God, carefully following His guidance. His last place of ministry was at Solid Rock Full Gospel Church in Hot Springs, NC.He leaves a church family there that loves and misses him dearly.His scripture ministry continued daily by the sending of Bible verses two times a day. He leaves behind his loving wife Mary, daughter Angela Whisnant and husband David, son Rev. James R. White and wife Stellania, and son David L. White and wife Charlotte.He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Ella Mae White, his sister Shelby Jean White Huggins and her husband, a very special brother-in-law Rev. John “Jr.” Huggins, brothers J.D. White, Kenneth White, George White, and grandchild Joshua David Whisnant. Rev. White has seven grandchildren, Tiffany Whisnant Bozor (Jean), Jazmine Whisnant Pena (Chris), Leah White, Elisabeth White, Hannah White, Eli White, Abigail White, and a special foster grandchild Chaydyn T. Services will be held at Bethlehem Church of God, Granite Falls, NC. Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Rev. Stewart Lankford presiding.Receiving of friends and family will take place one hour before services. Interment will follow at the Bethlehem Church of God cemetery. Pallbearers are Rev. James White, David White, Chris Pena, Timothy Howard, Larry Gibbie, Wayne Isenhour, and Samuel Isenhour.
