Charles Robert Starnes, age 67, of Granite Falls, North Carolina passed away on May 4, 2023.

Robert was born on February 22, 1956 to the late Charles Starnes and Catherine Ahern in Germany.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Starnes; stepmother, Carol Starnes.

Those left to cherish his memory is his wife, Jill Starnes of the home; son, Michael Starnes; daughters, Cissy Starnes, Crystal Starnes, and Loretta Starnes; brothers, Helmet Starnes, Chuck Donner, Coy Starnes; sister, Catie Starnes; grandchildren, Triniti Dollar, Jozy Griffith, Gage Starnes, Hunter Starnes, and Bradley Starnes; and numerous friends and family.

Robert was well known for his stone masonry work and making homemade ice cream for family, friends, vacation bible school and many other events. He was also an avid gardener.

A funeral service to honor Charles Robert Starnes will be held at Union Grove Baptist Church in Lenoir on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at 3:00pm with Pastor Sam Craven officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00pm to 3:00pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
