Clayton Pritchard

Clayton Pritchard, age 82, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023 at Amorem – Burke. He was born in Caldwell County on December 11, 1940 to the late Millard and Ruby Clarke Pritchard. He was happily married for 57 years to Juanita Laws Pritchard of the residence.

Clayton was a dedicated Christian man and dearly loved his family. He was formerly active in the North Catawba Optimist Club for several years, where he coached. Clayton was an avid outdoorsman, particularly fly fishing, which he instilled to his sons and grandchildren. As a long-time member of Confidence Advent Christian Church, Clayton was an eager volunteer on any church related project.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dwight Pritchard and his sister, Elaine Pritchard Blair.

Other than his wife, he is survived by his sons, Michael Pritchard; Robert Pritchard and fiancée, Amy Wilson; grandchildren, Adam Pritchard and wife, Tiffany; Tanner Pritchard; great-grandchildren, Ryder, Knox and Harlie Pritchard; brothers, Norman Pritchard, Rick Pritchard and wife, Casey; sister, Marsha Pritchard Parker and husband, Chuck; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

A celebration of Clayton’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Confidence Advent Christian Church with Pastor Norm Sherwood officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service at the church.
