Robert 'Bob' Hester Enloe

Ferguson – Mr. Robert “Bob” Hester Enloe, age 68, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care. Bob was born in Caldwell County on October 15, 1946 to the late Roy Reeves Enloe and Hester Clippard Enloe. He was married to Linda Johnson Enloe of their home in Wilkes County. Bob had been a member of First Baptist Church of Whitnel for more than 10 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam for 2 years. While he was in Vietnam he became exposed to Agent Orange. He later served for more than 16 years in the National Guard. After retiring, Bob spent his time fishing, hunting and with his loving family. In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his children, Jacob Enloe, Melanie Enloe and Robbie Enloe and wife, Amy; brother, Roger Enloe; grandchildren, Jacob Rhylee Enloe, Josh Enloe, Haley Enloe and Joannie Enloe. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at First Baptist Church of Whitnel on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Steve Hedgecock and Pastor Stuart White officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Johnny D. Johnson, Steven Johnson, Tracy Huffman, Michael Price, Josh Enloe and Roger Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Hal “Bugsy” Justice, Tony Cohee and Wily Kirby. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 prior to the service at the church.
