Robert Edmond Byerly

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Robert Edmond Byerly, Jr., age 64, of Lenoir, died Friday, August 7, 2009 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Mr. Byerly was born April 18, 1945 in Caldwell County. He was a member of Calvary Advent Christian Church and the VFW. He was a member of the Falls Hunting Club, Rhodhiss Basin Buddies and the Upper Creek Hunting Club. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Elizabeth Benfield Byerly. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Martha Phillips Byerly of the home, 3 children, Kimberly  Hope Higgins and husband Michael of Alexander, NC; Robert Edmond Byerly, III and wife Chrissy of Hudson; Wendy Moore and husband Mike of Collettsville; his father, Robert Edmond Byerly, Sr. of Lenoir; 5 sisters, Edwina Greene and husband Roy; Brenda Link and husband Gary; Patsy Coffey, Lydia Woodie, and Sylvia Byerly all of Lenoir; one brother, Thomas ?Tom? Byerly and wife Maxine of Lenoir, six grandchildren, Robert Byerly, IV (R.B.), Ben Byerly, Brady Byerly, Morgan Higgins, Will Moore, Jesse Moore, Amber Moore and Jacob Moore. A celebration of Mr. Byerly?s life will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, August 9, 2009 at Calvary Advent Christian Church with Reverend Jim Lee and Reverend Ed Greene officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with Military Honors. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Evans Funeral Service in Lenoir. Pallbearers will be: R.B. Byerly, Seth Byerly, Charles Martin, Eddie McDonald, Daniel Byerly, Kyle Byerly, Mark Greene and Shane Link. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Lee Byerly, Ben Byerly and co-workers from Grecon Dimter.
