Robert Chambers

Mr. Robert Chambers, 79, of Lenoir passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Caldwell Hospice. He was born in Carter County, TN on January 20, 1938 to the late John Chambers and Effie Holtsclaw Chambers. Mr. Chambers was married for 21 years to Betty Huffman Chambers of the residence. He spent most of his working career in the furniture industry in some type of management position. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, D.L. Chambers; sister, Marilyn Ward; and an infant sister. Other than his wife he is survived by six children, including Carmen Chambers of the home; Greg Chambers and wife, Rhonda of Connelly Springs; Tiffiny Castera and husband, Mike of South Carolina; a brother, John Chambers; a sister, Pauline Birchfield; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A celebration of Mr. Chamber’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Alan Miller officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service.
