Robert "Bobby" Allen Lambert

ROBERT “BOBBY” ALLEN LAMBERT, 68, of Lenoir passed away at his home on January 15, 2023.  Born December 30, 1954 in Lenoir, he was the son of the late Robert and Nina Lambert.  He attended Hudson High School and worked as a mechanic since he was very young.  While he left us far too soon, the impact he had on his family, friends and the community will be felt for many years to come.

Bobby had a love for all things “Ford” and loved working on cars.  He spent his life surrounded by them.  But more than anything, he loved his family.  He loved them all so fiercely that anyone who knew him knew what was most important to him.  He raised not only his own kids, but anyone else that needed a dad.  Bobby loved his wife and took the best care of her through every trial.  He loved spending time with his kids and spent much of his time doting over his grandbabies. He always said he had “mean youngins, but sweet grandyoungins.” He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Lambert, his loving mother, Nina Lambert, and his brother, Ronnie Lambert as well as his beloved dog, Otis.  Bobby is survived by his wife of 46 years, Becky Bryant Lambert, his children Ashley Brinkley and husband Chris, Bethany Hopkins and husband Paul, Jennifer King and husband Phil and Ryan Storie.   He was also survived by his grandchildren (who were his “real” favorites) Gracie White, Trenton Brinkley, Jackson Brinkley, Brooks Braswell, Kyle King, Lynleigh Brinkley and Archer Beckett King, in addition to his honorary grandkids Caroline Rash and Brayden Winkler. Along with his family he is survived by more friends and family than we could ever list.

Evans Funeral home will serve the family.  Rev. Sam Craven and Rev. Tony Harris will lead the services. The family will receive friends on Friday January 20, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Union Grove Baptist Church.  Funeral services will begin at 6:00 PM at the church. The family asks that you drive your old cars to the service and feel free to wear your blue jeans.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the McCreary Cancer Center, 212 Mulberry St, SW, Lenoir NC 28645 or to the American Diabetes Association.

Honorary Pallbearers are Steve Winkler, Lee Vines, Buddy Miller, Mike Price and Richard Bolick.
