Ricky Dean Gragg

Hudson- Ricky Dean Gragg, 58, of Hudson passed away unexpectedly on March 31, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Caldwell County on February 1, 1959 to the late Albert Gragg and Hettie Greene Gragg. He was also preceded in death by his sister Pat Cox. Rick was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was devoted not only to his family but also his many friends. He loved to hunt, fish, camp and work on old tractors. Most of all he loved being with his grandsons. Rick will be missed by everyone who knew him. Rick is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Severt Gragg; daughters, Cindy Annas and husband, Bryson of Granite Falls; Jamie Blethen of Hudson; grandsons, Deacon Annas and Austin Lingle and one grandchild on the way; sister, Betty Jean Bristol and husband, Lee of Lenoir; brother, Roger Gragg and wife, Sheila of Hudson; Bob Gragg and wife Vickie of Lenoir; Randy Gragg; sister, Denise Phelps and husband, Clayton of Lenoir; brother, Paul Gragg of Lenoir; sister, Patricia Crotts and husband, Gene of Hudson; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 1:00 until 2:30 PM. A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens at 3:30 PM on Wednesday, April 5 with Pastor Ed Warren and Devin Severt officiating. Pallbearers will be Greg Severt, Randy Penington, Steve Laney, Kevin Vines, Tony Watson and John Mooore.
