Richard Whisnant

Granite Falls – Richard Whisnant, Jr. age 63, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Caldwell County on November 16, 1955 to Delphia Dellinger Whisnant and the late Richard Dick Whisnant. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Patty Jean Whisnant and son, Mike Joseph Whisnant. Richard is survived by his son, Ricky Alan Whisnant; grandchildren, Mike Joseph Whisnant, Jr.; Mindy Whisnant; Brianna Paige Minton and Nikki Yates; girlfriend, Blanche Miller; great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Addy Minton; and Melah and Jayce Menscer; and multiple family members and friends. A memorial service for Richard will be held at Lenoir Community Church on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 4:30 PM.
