Connelly Springs– Mr. Richard Dale Triplett, age 56, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016. Richard was born July 3, 1959 in Watauga County. Richard moved from Watauga County to Lenoir in 1970. He had worked for McCrary Modern, Plant 9 in Conover and was a member of Lenoir Church of Christ. Richard helped sponsor through Health Talents a young girl named Paulina from Guatemala. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Faye Clarke Triplett, his father, Claude Jones Triplett, a brother, Mark “Marty” Davis, a sister, Grace Elizabeth “Midge” Abernathy and a niece, Vanessa Gail Kirby. He is survived by his mother, Pauline Davis Brown; his daughter, Sonya Auton Coffey and husband William Dustin Coffey; his son, Brandon James Triplett; his step-daughter, Laura Andes Coffey and husband Christopher; his step-son, Tyler Lee Graham; four sisters, Donna Marie Triplett, “Janice Lynn Calloway, Lennis Gail Auton and husband Rusty, Tammy Claudette Sipes and four grandchildren, William Hunter Coffey, Hailey Dawn Coffey, Daniel Wesley Ray Coffey and Cobra Redding Graham. He is also survived by his very best friend, James West of Boone. The family will be conducting a celebration of Richard’s life at 2:30 PM Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Lenoir Church of Christ with Minister Paul Nygard and Minister Jeff Lovitt officiating. A time of visitation will be from 2:00 until 2:30, prior to the service. The family requests memorials be made to Lenoir Church of Christ, 1126 NE Powell Road, Lenoir, NC 28645.
