Lenoir – Mr. Richard “Dapaw” Morgan Holloway, age 72, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born in Akron, OH on January 1, 1944 to the late Henry Morgan Holloway and Valerie Clark Holloway. He was married to Nan Crump Holloway of the residence for 50 years. Mr. Holloway was an avid golfer, having the honor of being a four –time Caldwell County Super Senior Amateur Champion. In his earlier years he loved to hunt and fish.Later he enjoyed watching his grandson play ball while being coached by his son and watching his granddaughter clog. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, the Honorable Richard S. Holloway and wife, Tammy; sister, Vivian Holloway Clifton of Lake Lure; brother, Steven Lynn Holloway; and his grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Ashleigh Elizabeth Holloway and Richard Austin Holloway; and his nieces, Sandy Bellamy and Kelly Dar. A celebration of Mr. Holloway’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 12:30 PM. Intombment will immediately follow at Woodlawn Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:30 prior to the service.
