Richard Eugene Eller

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Richard Eugene Eller-Koon, age 45, of Lenoir, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, September 9, 2007. He was born August 23, 1962 in Caldwell County. He is survived by his son, Christopher Herndeaz of Lenoir; three step-daughters, Shannon Newton, April Newton and Nikki Milam all of Lenoir; one step-son, Jonah Milam of Wilkesboro; his mother, Betty Jean Davis Eller of Lenoir; 4 sisters, Mitzie Davis Logsdon and husband Gary; Julie Lugo Collins and husband David; Nora Eller Hightower, all of Lenoir; Laura Eller Harris and husband George of Granite Falls; one brother, Joey Lugo of Lincoln, AL; and 3 step-grandchildren, Emma, Savana and Sadie. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Koon and step-father, Rex Eller. Funeral services will be held 5:00 PM Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at Mountain View Baptist Church with Reverend Randy Gibson and Tommy Gurley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 until 5 PM prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be: Jonah Milam, Dustin Lugo, Corey Lugo, Matthew Logsdon, Elliott Collins, Joseph Hightower, Greg Gentry and Dennis Sumlin. Honorary Pallbearers are: David Paul Lugo, Brandon Collins, Ryan Hightower, Jamie Setzer and Joe Collins.
