Richard Hughey Allred

Richard Hughey Allred, 70, of Lenoir, passed away on September 15, 2023.

Richard was born on June 7, 1953, to the late Charlie and Gertrude Allred.

In addition to his parents, Richard is preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Vickie Travis Allred a nephew, Albert Hartley, and a brother in law, James Meadows.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Hayley Drobinski (Robert); son, Daniel Allred; grandchildren, Zoey, Xander, Cassandra; sisters, Charlene Meadows, Irene Pendleton (Roger); nieces, Jennifer Hartley, Christy Brayton (Charlie), Melissa Wood; great nieces, Makenna Hamby, Reyna Shatley; great nephews, Holden Shatley, Sawyer Hamby, Liam Brayton; and a great-great nephew, Malakai Shatley.

Richard loved football and Nascar.  He was a huge Richard Petty fan.  Richard loved Christmas and he loved playing Santa Claus in the community.  Lenoir’s dining community will surely miss him, as he enjoyed dining out and having lunch everyday with his daughter, Hayley.  He was a quiet and gentle soul who would help anyone and expect nothing in return.  Richard will be immensely missed by all who knew him.

The family will have a memorial service for Richard at a later date.
