Rena Jean Cardwell

Rena Jean Cardwell, age 61, of Lenoir, North Carolina went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 26, 2021 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory. Rena was born on March 07, 1960 in Caldwell County to Gladys Lee Miller Bentley and the late William Franklin Bentley. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Rita Faye Townsend. Those left to cherish her memory and will always love her are her husband, Randy Cardwell; daughter, Crystal Odom and husband Steven; mother, Gladys Bentley; brothers, William Bentley and wife Mary, Ronnie Bentley and wife Brenda, Lonnie Bentley and wife Kathy; sister, Ivey Bentley and her friend Mike Floroff; grandchildren, Will and Mack; numerous nieces and nephews; and her loving pet, Ginger. Rena had a true servant’s heart and was known for her kindness and unselfishness which she exhibited to all who met her. She was a faithful member of Heavenly Hope Baptist Church and loved her church family dearly. She was the heart of her family and served and loved them in any way that she could. She loved photography and left behind a multitude of pictures to prove it. She was a faithful employee of Bernhardt Furniture Industries for over thirty years where she had multiple responsibilities and was known for her excellent quality of work. A Celebration of Life to honor Rena Jean Cardwell will be held at Heavenly Hope Baptist Church in Lenoir on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 2:00PM with Pastor Benny Greene, Brother Bruce Crump, and Brother Jason Hollar officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00PM to 2:00PM.
