Rebecca Brown Watson Nelson

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Rebecca Watson Brown Nelson, age 69, of Lenoir, died Monday, October 22, 2007 at home. Born February 24, 1938 in Caldwell County, Mrs. Nelson was a daughter of Geneva Anderson Watson of Lenoir and the late Robert Watson and was the wife of the late Ray Nelson. She was a member of Crossroads Community Church and had retired from Holiday To Go. Other than her mother, she is survived by three sons, David Brown and special friend Cyndee Raby; Randy Brown and wife Sandra; Jimmy Brown and wife Rosa all of Lenoir; 2 step-sons, Zyndal Nelson and Dean Nelson and one step-daughter, Linda Kilby all of Lenoir; two sisters, Peggy Ward and husband Cecil of Hudson; Terrie Shaw and husband Steve of North Wilkesboro; 2 brothers, Bob Watson and wife Kitty of Hickory; Steve Watson and wife Holly of Elkin; 6 grandchildren, Crystal Isaacs, Tausha Brown, Randall Brown, Corey Brown, Misty Lackey, Anthony Brown; and 3 great-grandchildren, Isaiah Isaacs, Jessie Lackey and Bailey Brown. A celebration of Mrs. Nelson?s life will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Crossroads Community Church with Pastor Rick Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 until 3 PM, one hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be: James Anthony Brown, Matt Ford, Mark Isaacs, Allen Lackey, Steve Shaw and Brad Ward.
