Reath Greene Kirby

Hudson, NC- Mrs. Reath Greene Kirby, age 84, of Hudson, died Friday, November 2, 2007 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Born August 13, 1923 in Boone, Mrs. Kirby was a daughter of the late Levi and Mattie Taylor Greene and the wife of the late Harry N. Kirby. Mrs. Kirby was a homemaker and member of Hudson United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Land of Hudson; Carolyn Moore and husband Walter of Granite Falls; 1 granddaughter, Heather Youskauskas of Baltimore, MD; 4 grandsons, Vincent Kirby, Caisy Moore and Chad Moore all of Granite Falls, Michael Kirby of Valdese and 4 great-grandchildren. Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Ralph and George Greene and one sister, Ruth Bodenhiemer. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Reverend Joe Parker officiating.
