Raymond Daniel Mcgee

Mr. Raymond Daniel McGee, age 74 of Lenoir, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Caldwell UNC Health Care. Born August 20, 1944 in Caldwell county, he was the son of the late Raymond and Margaret Barnett McGee.He spent most of his life in the furniture business.Raymond was an avid Nascar fan and also enjoyed hunting.In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a sister, Kay Edmiston. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Faye Combs McGee; a daughter, Jackie Smith (husband Lee) of Greer, SC; he is also survived by numerous other relatives. A celebration of Raymond’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Larry Combs Jr. and Pastor Randy Goode officiating.Interment will follow the service at the Kings Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Memorials can be made to the Kings Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
