Raymond Donald Fox

Raymond Donald Fox, age 84, passed from this life on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Lenoir following an extended illness. He was born May 11, 1934 to the late Johnny and Della (Hackett)Fox in Caldwell County, He worked as a welder at General Electric Corp. in Hickory. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a son, Johnny Fox; three daughters, Cathy Tilley, Roslyn Dunlap and Lorraine Robinson; six brothers, Coy, Hoover, Roy, Marshall, Ted and John; seven sisters, Mamie Fox, Gladys Ferguson, Inez Witherspoon, Mildred Ferguson, Mabel Bowers Kirkpatrick, Flora Gary and Dorothy Roberts Stephenson. Left to cherish Raymond’s memory are his loving wife, Thelma of the home; a daughter, Pam Taylor of Winston-Salem; sons, Michael of Arizona and Jamie of Hickory; also numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held at St. Paul A.M.E. Church on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 2:00 PM.Interment will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
