Ray Webb

Lincolnton– Mr. Ray Webb, age 72, of Lincolnton and formerly of Granite Falls, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory.Born March 17, 1943 in Gaston County, he was a son of the late Joe Rufus and Mary Martin Webb. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Sue Cline, Peggy Stephens; three brothers, Ralph, Joe and Arthur Webb and a sister-in-law, Daphne Webb. Ray loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.He was a former member of Dudley Shoals Baptist Church and a member of Northside Community Church in Lincolnton.He had served in the Army National Guard for 4 years.He loved animals and was a Farrier. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Hayes Webb; his son, Johnny Ray Webb and wife Kim of Hickory Grove, SC; his daughter, Shawna Garrett of Piedmont, SC; two brothers, his twin, Roy Webb of Lincolnton, Reid Webb of Kings Mountain; a sister, Sarah Cates of Gastonia and three grandchildren, Steven Blackwell, Carman Webb and Landen Webb and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mr. Webb’s life will be held 3:00 PM Friday, October 16, 2015 at Northside Community Church in Dallas, NC with Reverend Don Ingle, Reverend Gordon West, Reverend John Johnson and Pastor Mark Mann officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with final expenses.
