Ray Deal

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Ray Deal, age 74 of Lenoir, died Friday, June 26, 2009 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Mr. Deal was born June 26, 1935 in Caldwell County to Wilson and Ida Deal. He was owner and operator of Ray?s Restaurant and was retired from Kincaid Furniture Company. Mr. Deal was a member of Yadkin Baptist Church, of Lenoir. He is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Holtsclaw Deal: a sister, Reba Eller and a brother, Plez Deal. He is survived by three sons, Sammy Lee Ingram, Sr. and wife, LeAnn of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, Kenny Dale Ingram, Nathan Ray Deal, and wife Kim, all of Lenoir; One sister, Lottie White, and husband, Amos, One brother, Houston Deal, and wife Revonda all of Lenoir. Nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Sunday, June 28, 2009 at 2PM at Yadkin Baptist Church of Lenoir, North Carolina with Reverend Robert Livingston officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or the family respectfully requests memorials being made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, North Carolina 28645 or to Yadkin Baptist Church, P.O. Box 37, Patterson, North Carolina 28661. Pallbearers will be Derrick Deal, Mike White, Aaron Deal, Allen Holtsclaw, Steve White, and Ken Hartley. Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home of Wilkesboro is handling the funeral arrangements and the family will receive family and friends Saturday, June 27, 2009 from 6 until 8 at Evans Funeral Service of Lenoir.
