Ray Rudolph Bradshaw

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Ray Rudolph Bradshaw, age 83, of Lenoir, passed away at the Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care on November 11, 2008. Born April 29, 1925 in Watauga County, NC, Mr. Bradshaw was a son of the late Jones Milton and Mary Kerley Bradshaw. Mr. Bradshaw was a carpenter and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, George Edward Bradshaw; Four sisters, Ann Barnette, Shirley Dyson, Thelma Ford, and Effie Bradshaw; and Three Brothers, Rhonda Bradshaw, Perry Bradshaw, and Masten Bradshaw. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mildred Huffman Bradshaw of the home; one son and daughter in law, Dale and Marcia Bradshaw of Lenoir; Four sisters, Wylmoth Jenkins of Lenoir, Evelena Rohr of Monroe, Reba Holcomb of Winston Salem, and Carline Bradshaw of Charlotte; Two grandsons, Marcus Bradshaw of Granite Falls, and Chad Edward and Rachael Bradshaw of Hudson; Two granddaughters, Lauren Bradshaw of Glen Burie , MD, and Amanda Merritt of Raleigh; One step granddaughter, Kayla Banner of Lenoir; Two great granddaughters, Chelsee Bradshaw of Hudson, and Brianna Bradshaw of Granite Falls; and one great grandson, Koby Bradshaw of Hudson; and one step great grandson, Jordan Duncan of Hudson ; he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A celebration of life will be held for Ray on Friday, November 14, 2008 at 3:00PM at the Calvary Baptist Church in Lenoir.  Officiating will be Dr. Alan Carr and Rev. Bill Dyson. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, one hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be: Tim Kemp, Johnny Story, Gary Bradshaw, Jim Barnette, Chad Ervin and Terry Bradshaw. Honorary Pallbearers will be:  Junior Trivette, Harley Green and Jimmy Laws.
