Randy Price Lenoir, NC- Randy Gary Price, age 57, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Caldwell Hospice. He was born in Caldwell County on August 6, 1956 to the late Jeff Horton Price and Lula Belle Watson Price. Randy was a member of Blue Creek Baptist Church and worked for many years at Newton Transportation as a diesel mechanic where he made many friends during his time there. He was active in the Gun Powder Creek Regulators where he found many SASS enthusiasts and more importantly friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his uncles, Odell Watson, Clemm Watson, and Andrew Watson; 4 aunts, Avis Church, Leslie Greene, Ola Troplett and Deli Miller; and a nephew, David Carter Price. Randy is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Price of Hudson; brothers, Wayne Price and wife, Wanda; and Gene Price, all of Lenoir; grandchildren, Dalton Kaylor and Jillian Locklear of Hudson; niece, Brandy Lavatto; and he also leaves behind a dear friend, Diane Icenhour of Lenoir. A celebration of Randy’s life will be held at Blue Creek Baptist Church, 3580 Still Meadow Way, Lenoir, NC 28645, on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 12:00 with Pastor Jack Lewis and Pastor Frank Hall officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Laurel Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:00 prior to the service at the church. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to Caldwell Hospice, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
