Randy Eugene Gentry

Lenoir, NC - Mr. Randy Eugene Gentry, age 58, of Lenoir, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Lenoir. Born February 3, 1954 in Caldwell County, Randy was a son of the late Edward “Ed” Dewey Gentry and Grace Cheek Gentry of the home. Randy was a member of Setzer Creek Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors and hunting. He had a talent for fixing anything. Other than his mother, Randy is survived by two children; Tasha Grady and husband Chris of Newark, OH; Chad Byrd and wife Wendy of Hudson; two sisters, Sherri Gentry Andrews and Sandra Gentry Nichols, both of Lenoir; two brothers, Terry Gentry and Jody Gentry and wife Kelly all of Lenoir and 6 grandchildren. A celebration of Randy’s life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February, 2, 2013 at Setzer Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Gary Teague officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorials be made to Setzer Creek Baptist Church, 3163 Warrior Road, Lenoir, NC 28645.
