Ramona Oliver Icenhour

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Ramona Oliver Icenhour, age 80, of Lenoir, went to be with her Lord Thursday, October 4, 2007 in Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, surrounded by her family. Born March 23, 1927 in Taylorsville, Mrs. Icenhour was a daughter of the late Thomas James and Ella Mae Isenhour Oliver and the wife of M.G. ?Bill? Icenhour of the home with whom she was married 61 years. She was a member of Hartland Baptist Church. Surviving other than her husband is one son, Gwyn Oliver Icenhour and wife Elizabeth of Lenoir; 2 daughters, Linda Diane Reid and husband Ernie of Lenoir; Becky Lynn Rees and husband Jeff of Catawba; one step-son, Steve Icenhour and wife Elaine of Sacramento, CA; three sisters, Christine Oliver Roper and husband Howard; Ruth Alene Setzer; Marceline Knight and husband J.C. all of Lenoir; one grandson, Christopher Bryan Smith of Lenoir; three granddaughters, Kelley Leeann Blankenship and husband E-4 Justin Blankenship of Connelly Springs; Stephanie Little and husband Tracey of Greensboro; Melissa Mitchell and husband Craig of Sacramento, CA; 6 great-grandchildren and a number of extended family and special friends. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Ophelia Baker, Thelma Mae Oliver and Angell Adkins and 5 brothers, Haskell Oliver, Rayford Dallas Oliver, Paul Hardin Oliver, Norris Steele Oliver and Thomas Oliver, Jr. A celebration of Mrs. Icenhour?s life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 6, 2007 at Hartland Baptist Church with Reverend Steve Parker and Reverend Gary Waters officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 PM at Hartland Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be: Tim Barlow, Ronnie Barlow, David Moore, John Moore, Mike Kent and Donald Roper.
