Ralph Rudisill

Lenoir-Ralph “Charles” Junior Rudisill, Jr, age 90, of Lenoir, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the Shaire Center in Lenoir. Born March 8, 1926 in Burke County, Ralph was a son of the late Charles Lester and Mary Townsend Rudisill. He was a member of the Littlejohn United Methodist Church and a veteran of the United States Navy. He retired in 1975 from Barringer Oil Company and then opened the Rudisill Village Grocery and Oil. Ralph enjoyed camping and traveling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Julia Miller Rudisill; and a grandson, Jeremiah Shelton Anders. Survivors include his children, Elaine Anders, husband David, and Alan Rudisill, wife Susan, both from Lenoir; his grandchildren, Judson Anders, Jennifer Rudisill, Chris Todd and Laura May; his great grandchildren, Rowen Anders, Jadyn Bolick, Peyton Bolick, Kalyn Bolick, Abby Todd, Sam Todd, Jacob Todd, Henry May and Julia May; a dear friend, Claudine Moore; he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Ralph’s life will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Littlejohn United Methodist Church with Pastor Allen Boliek and Pastor Olin Icenhour officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Evans Funeral Service.
