Evans Funeral Service & Crematory 754-7979 June 2, 2010 Granite Falls, NC- Mrs. Perylee Dula Bumgarner, age 92, of Granite Falls, passed away June 2, 2010, at Lutheran Home West. Mrs. Bumgarner was born in Caldwell County on December 27, 1917 to the late John William and Mary Smith Dula. Mrs. Bumgarner was a member of New Vision Baptist Church and she enjoyed making quilts, canning, crocheting, and singing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gomer Robert Bumgarner, seven brothers, and three sisters. Mrs. Bumgarner is survived by her children; Betty and Raymond Sloan of Kannapolis; Bill and Ida Belle Bumgarner of Hickory; Meladean Price of Granite Falls; Kay and Charles Hallyburton of Morganton; Morris and Linda Bumgarner of King, NC; two sisters, Coleen Bumgarner and Dorothy Sparks; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A service celebrating Mrs. Bumgarner?s life will be held Friday, June 4, 2010, 3:00 PM, at Temple Hill Baptist Church with the Reverend Douglas Woody and Reverend Carl Hamm officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Temple Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 4, 2010 from 1:30 to 3:00, at Temple Hill Baptist Church, prior to the service. Pallbearers for Mrs. Bumgarner will be her grandsons.
