Peggy Page

Lenoir – Peggy Cress Page, age 79, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born in Rowan County on May 14, 1940 to the late Calvin and Mildred Raines Cress. She was married to the late Richard Matthew Page, Jr. for 49 years. Peggy was a unit secretary at the former Blackwelder Memorial Hospital in Lenoir. She later worked as the finance manager for Walter’s Chrysler. She was recognized for her outstanding service at both places of employment. Peggy was a member of Lower Creek Baptist Church. Peggy is survived by her sons, Allen Page and wife, Brenda; Matthew Page and fiancée, Jenifer Hall; daughter, Linda Page Moropoulos and husband, George; grandchildren, Brandon Johnson, George, Christopher and Alexander Moropoulos; Matthew, Landen and Breanna Page; and Megan, Hunter and Wyatt Hall. A celebration of Peggy’s life will be held at Lower Creek Baptist Church on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Larry Gilbreath officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the service.
