Peggy "Dianne" Herald

Peggy “Dianne” Herald, 68, passed away on September 25, 2023 at Lenoir Healthcare in Lenoir, NC.

Dianne was born on May 1, 1955 to the late James and Alma Williams.

In addition to her parents, Dianne is preceded in death by her husband, James Herald; two sons, James Isaac Herald and Jesse James Herald.

Those left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Thomas “Dink” Williams (Joan) and Danny Williams (Trina); sisters, Carolyn “PeeWee” Williams “Granny Cow”, Theresa Chapman (Larry), Sandy Oakes, Ann Williams, and Carolyn Polk (Dwight); step-daughters, Carla and Robbin; step-son, Willie; as well as numerous other relatives.

Dianne enjoyed joking and laughter as well as being around her family. She loved to watch tv shows and horror movies any chance she had. Dianne also loved to sit outside to smoke her cigarettes, racing in her wheelchair, and long adventures. She loved her family dearly. Dianne will be missed by all who loved her.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Edgemont Cemetery at 3:00 PM with Paster Phillip Coffey officiating.
