"Peanut" Harold Lee Coffey

“Peanut” Harold Lee Coffey, age 55, of Lenoir, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021.He was born October 19, 1965 in Caldwell County to the late Jerry Coffey and Thelma Barnes Coffey of Lenoir.In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George and Retha Barnes and paternal grandparents, Clarence and Winnie Coffey. Peanut enjoyed working on vehicles and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone.His children were his life and he was proud of both of them.He was especially proud of Ariel’s recent graduation from Caldwell Applied Science Academy. In addition to his mother Thelma, survivors include his wife Susan Hicks Coffey; children, Ariel Leann Coffey and Noah Connor Coffey; sister, Rayvonda Cannon and husband Roy and daughter, Brianna Porter; brother, Terry Barnes and wife Debbie and sons, Chris Barnes, Preston Barnes, Jarrett Barnes, Devin Barnes, and Benjamin Barnes; and many other extended family members. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Evans Funeral Service Chapel conducted by Reverend Rudy Hayes.The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
