Pauline Elizabeth Ford Dula went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Amorem Hospice in Hudson. She was born on July 31, 1944 in Watauga County to the late John W. Ford, Sr. and Margaret Alene Coffey. Pauline was a retired seamstress for Marx Industries. She enjoyed sewing when her children were small, sewing all of their clothes. She loved listening to gospel music and going to church. Pauline was a member of Walking By Faith Baptist Church. She loved her family dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son Robert “Doug” Dula; her sister Della Mae Bowman; and her three brothers John Ford Jr, Wincell Ford, and Bruce Ford.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son James Darryll Dulaand fiancé Karen Icard (who was also Pauline’s caregiver), daughter Donna Annette Paisley and husband Heath Paisley, and the light of her life her grandson Chance Paisley. She is also survived by her siblings: Annie “Darlene” Smith and Pastor Marvin Ford and wife Kathy. Pauline leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be her nephews: Dalton Matthews, Chris Smith, Roger Smith, Jonathan Schronce, Brandon McCloud and Joshua Matthews.
The family will have a private service to honor Pauline’s life.
