Pauline Jean Athey Bowers

 Lenoir, NC – Mrs. Pauline Jean Bowers, age 75, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Rowan County on January 31, 1938 to the late Sam E. Athey and Laura Gales Athey. She was married to Raymond Bowers for 32 years. Mrs. Bowers was a very strong and independent woman who loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed taking care of her home and watching old westerns on the television. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Bostian and son, Randall Dwiggins. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Tammy Hodges and husband, DeWayne; granddaughters, Tayrn Morris and husband, Greg; K-la Dwiggins and fiancée, Adam Gilbeau; Amanda Kesler and husband, Kurtis; and great-grandchildren, Michael and Cheyanne Morris.
