Paul William Ragsdale

Paul William Ragsdale, age 66, of Morganton, went home to Jesus on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Caldwell Hospice and Pallative Care-Robbins Center.He was born November 11, 1951 in Caldwell County to the late John and Maggie Ragsdale.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Sylvia Crotts. Paul was retired and a member of Drexel Christian Center.He proudly served our country as a United States Marine.He loved riding his tractor and hanging out with his dog, Josie.He was loved by all of his family and church family. Survivors include his wife, Wendy Ragsdale of the home; daughters, Caroline Byers and Belinda Vance; granddaughter, Patience Brown; sister, Brenda McQueen and husband James, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 4:00 pm at Evans Funeral Service Chapel conducted by Reverend Tim Smith.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with military honors. Serving as pallbearers will be Austin Crotts, Scott McQueen, John Bradshaw, Isaac Bradshaw, Eric Andrews, and J.D. Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Byerly and David Bolick.
