Paul Edward Prestwood

Hudson, NC- Mr. Paul Edward Prestwood, age 68, of Hudson, passed away on Monday, September 6, 2010 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Born March 22, 1942 in Caldwell County, Mr. Prestwood was a son of the late Boyd and Mildred Weeks Prestwood and the husband of Mrs. Janice Parker Prestwood, of the home, to whom he shared 45 years in marriage. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edward and Henrietta Prestwood and his maternal grandparents, Paul and Carrie Weeks. Mr. Prestwood loved everyone and loved his dogs. He never met a stranger. Other than his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Crystal Prestwood Lowman and husband Curt; Tammy Taylor; 5 grandsons, Cody Lowman, Bryant Lowman, Jacob Lowman, Brit Wilkinson, Dustin Wilkinson; 1 great-grandson, Landon Wilkinson and many aunts, uncles and cousins. A celebration of Mr. Prestwood?s life will be held 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, September 8, 2010 in the chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Douglas Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 from 7 until 8:30 PM at Evans Funeral Service and Crematory. Pallbearers will be: Jacob, Cody and Bryant Lowman; Vincent, Larry and Mark Nelson. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Brit and Dustin Wilkinson.
