Lenoir, NC- Mr. Paul Milton Prestwood, age 94, of Lenoir, died Monday, February 1, 2010 at his home. Mr. Prestwood was born in Caldwell County on February 18, 1915. He was a son of the late James and Cordelia Prestwood.  Mr. Prestwood was a member of Whitnel United Methodist Church and the Hudson Optimist Club. He and his wife were the owners and operators of Quality Furniture Market of Lenoir for more than 52 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Edith Correll Prestwood; a granddaughter, Lauren Meaney, and 10 brothers and sisters. He is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law; Shirlee Steelman of New York City, New York, Barbaree Meaney of Palm Beach, Florida, Elayne Lambrechts and husband Steve of Granite Falls, Tommy Gail Bollinger and husband Howard of Lenoir; five grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Whitnel United Methodist Church from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. followed by a service honoring Mr. Prestwood at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Leon Morrow and Reverend David Lookado officiating.  Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Whitnel United Methodist Church, 1373 Delwood Drive, Lenoir, North Carolina 28645.
