Paul Elvin Devan

Lenoir, NC- Paul Elvin DeVan, age 59, of Lenoir, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Born March 1, 1952 in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of the late Charles and Oda Carnes DeVan. Paul had worked in the construction industry with sheetrock. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Peggy DeVan Jones and two brothers, Harold DeVan, Sr. and Roy DeVan. He is survived by two children; Eric DeVan of Maryland; Kimberly DeVan and fiancée, Chad of Statesville; his significant other, Janet Key of Lenoir; two step-sons, Johnny and Daniel Key of Statesville; three sisters, Rose Lamb of Florida; Lola Johns of Maryland; Juanita Nichols of West Virginia, nine grandchildren and several nieces, nephew, cousins and other relatives. A celebration of Paul’s life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Gospel Truth Ministries with Reverend Mike Minton officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, one hour prior to the service.
