Patricia Reid Harrision

Granite Falls, NC- Mrs. Patricia ?Pat? Reid Harrison, age 67, of Granite Falls, died Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory. Born February 4, 1943 in Caldwell County, Mrs. Harrison was a daughter of the late George Wade Reid and Blanche Reid Jones and the wife of the late Dennis S. Harrison. Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Joe Jones, and two sisters, Rebecca Short and Donna Greer. Mrs. Harrison was a member of Dry Ponds Baptist Church and a member of the LIFT Group. She had served as a councilwoman on the Sawmills Town Council. She ran Harrison?s Nursery for many years and was a Mary Kay sales consultant for over 35 years. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Harrison Grant and husband Paul of Hickory; one brother, Gwyn Reid and wife Bonnie of Granite Falls; 2 Grandsons, Tyler H. Cannon and Connor P. Grant, both of Hickory; her special aunt, Peggy Austin of Hickory; one brother-in-law, Glenn Greer of Todd; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law Gerald and Donna Hollar of Hudson and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. A celebration of Mrs. Harrison?s life will be held 3:30 PM Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Dry Ponds Baptist Church with Dr. Rick Crouse and Reverend Don Ingle officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, from 2:00 until 3:30, prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be: Kent Triplett, Jamie Honeycutt, Chris Cannon, Gilbert Guittard, Taylor Mitchum and Bobby Mosteller.
