Patricia "Betsy" Jean Chester

Patricia “Betsy” Jean Chester, age 69, of Granite Falls, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022 at her residence.She was born August 29, 1952 in Watauga County to the late Harrison Arthur Sanders and Freda Greer Sanders of Lenoir.In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by sister, Audrey Lynn Sanders; and brother, Gary Dean Sanders. Survivors include her husband, Johnny Chester; daughter, Tracey Parham and husband David; son, Kenny Johnson and wife Jenny; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-children, Ronnie Chester and Crystal Chandler; sister, Debbie Price and husband Johnny; brothers, Larry Sanders and wife Judy, Randy Sanders and wife Rachel, Buddy Sanders and wife Regina. Betsy was a loving wife and mother.She was an active member of Mt. Grove Baptist Church and dearly loved her Sunday School class.She enjoyed riding motorcycles, mowing the yard and her dogs.The family would like to thank her dear friend Judy Craven and friend/caregiver Mary Munday for all of their love and support along with all of her friends from Ingles on Connelly Springs Rd. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Mt. Grove Baptist Church conducted by Gill LaRaue. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM prior to the service on Sunday at the church.
