Patricia (Pat) Ann Cannon

Granite Falls, NC- Mrs. Patricia Ann Hendrix Cannon, age 67, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Frye Regional Medical Center. She was born in Caldwell County on October 13, 1946 to the late Howard Hendrix and Alice Middleton Hendrix. She was married for 50 years to Phillip Cannon of the residence. Mrs. Cannon was a faithful member of Harris Chapel Baptist Church where she was active in the bus ministry and received the Bus Captain of the Year Award. She impacted the people she came in touch with and was especially devoted to impacting the lives of children. She previously had been a teacher at Harris Chapel Christian Academy and Gamewell Christian School. In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter, Sharon Cannon; son, Dwayne Cannon and wife, Cyndi; sisters, Carolyn Wilson, Susan Roark, Vivian McRary, and Dawn Byrd; and her grandchildren, Chancie Cannon and Alexis Cannon. A celebration of Mrs. Cannon̢۪s life will be held at Harris Chapel Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Allen Norrod and Pastor Jim Hamby officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service.
