Pat Pilkenton

Lenoir, NC – Patricia “Pat” Lori Pilkenton, age 83, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2013 at Shaire Center. Mrs. Pilkenton was born in Caldwell County on October 28, 1929 to the late W.A. Story and Mary Bradshaw Story. She was married to Don Pilkenton of the residence for 62 years. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Charley, Dillard, Ernest, Bill, and Van Story; sisters, Maria Story, Lucille Simmons, Ollie Story, and Juanita Saunders. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Richard Douglas “Doug” Pilkenton and wife, Teresa of Lenoir; grandson, Darian Pilkenton; sisters, JoAnn Thomas and husband, Garland of Salisbury and Maggie Miller of Lenoir; and several special nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mrs. Pilkenton’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Chuck Brawley officiating. Entombment will take place immediately following the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 27, from 1:00 until 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service.
