Paralee Arney

Mrs. Paralee Watson Arney, 100, of the Gamewell Community passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care. She was born in Caldwell County on November 3, 1916 to the late T.A. Watson and Sarah Fox Watson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil E. “Bill” Arney and her brothers and sisters, Roxie Lambert, Bertha Chester, Bill Watson, Lloyd “Red” Watson, Russell Watson and Roland “Bob” Watson. Mrs. Arney was a long-time member of Hartland Baptist Church. She is survived by her many nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law, Elizabeth “Lib” Watson. A graveside service for Mrs. Arney will be held at Littlejohn United Methodist Church Cemetery on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Lambert officiating. A special thank you goes to the Hospice staff for their care and attention to Mrs. Arney. She called them her second family.
