Pansy Absher

Lenoir- Pansy Ruth Absher, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Caldwell Hospice. She was born in Wilkes County on December 24, 1946 to the late Mack Absher and Bessie Absher Billings. Pansy was a long-time employee of Bernhardt Furniture Industries. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Absher. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Vines and husband, Stan; son, Larry Baker; brother, Bill Absher and wife, Nancy; sister, Nancy Benfield and husband, Greg; grandchildren, Barry Baker, Terry Baker and wife, Heather; Bridget McCarter and husband, Wesley; great-grandchildren, Natalie Baker; Atlanta Baker; Olivia Baker; Aubrie McCarter; Reighven Baker; Ellen McCarter; and Jackson Baker. A celebration of Pansy’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 4:00 PM with Minister Wesley McCarter officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 PM prior to the service.
