Pamela Sue Holman Bailey

Hudson, NC- Mrs. Pamela Sue Holman Bailey, age 60, of Hudson, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Hudson after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Bailey was born in Lenoir, NC on February 18, 1951. She was a member of College Avenue Baptist Church and had worked in respiratory therapy, home health care, dialysis, medical office assistant and as an office nurse for over 30 years. She loved each of her 4 grandchildren who affectionately called her “Binga”. She was a loving mother and wife. Pamela participated in Teen Pregnancy Prevention for Caldwell County’s Pilot Program. She was preceded in death by her father, James Andrew Homan and father-in-law, Robert Lewis Bailey. Pamela is survived by her husband, Robert “Lanny” Bailey, her mother, Lettie Sue Morrow Holman; one daughter, Tiffany Nichelle Bolick Dwiggins and husband Carl Edward Dwiggins, Jr., and grandson, Colbie Edward Dwiggins all of Conover; A son, Mickey Scott Bolick of the home and granddaughter, , Kameron Elaine Bolick; and son by marriage, Michael Christopher Bailey and wife Cheryl Champion Bailey and granddaughters, Melia Brooke Bailey and Catelyn Brianne Bailey of Shelby; Two sisters, Cynthia Weaver and husband Tracy Weaver of Hickory with niece Alicia Story and nephew Brad Ritch of Lenoir, Laura Haynes and Husband Donald Haynes with niece Heather Gragg and nephews Roger and Jamie Haynes of Hickory. A celebration of Pamela’s life will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Dr. Charles Brawley officiating. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM in the Fork Baptist Church Cemetery in Mocksville. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, prior to the service. Pallbearers will be: Joe Story, Danny Hollars, Brad Ritch, Roger Haynes, Jamie Haynes and Adam Montgomery.
