Ollie Sanders Woods

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Ollie Sanders Woods, age 89, of Lenoir, died Saturday, March 14, 2009 in Gateway Nursing Center in Lenoir. Born March 25, 1919 in Wilkes County, Mrs. Woods was a daughter of the late Gran and Celia Church Sanders and the wife of the late Vaughn Raymond Woods. Mrs. Woods was a homemaker and a member of Green Mountain Baptist Church. Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Audrey Sanders; Goldie Church and one brother, Romie Sanders. She is survived by, one daughter, Carolyn Aldridge and husband Leon of Hudson; three sons, Bill Woods and wife Phyllis of Lenoir; James Woods and wife Geraldine of Triplett; Jackie Woods and wife Debra of Lenoir; one sister, Amelia ?Milia? Adams and husband Luther of Buffalo; one brother, Stuard Sanders of Wilkesboro; 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 3 great -great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mrs. Woods? life will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Green Mountain Baptist Church with Reverend Charles Keever officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 until 2 PM, one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be: Danny Woods, Jesse Woods, Joshua Woods, Joel Woods, Matthew Aldridge, David Aldridge and Jamie Woods.
