Odell Sinclair Setzer

Odell Setzer Lenoir, NC- Mr. Odell “Dell” Sinclair Setzer, Jr., age 69, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center. He was born in Caldwell County on September 7, 1943 to the late Odell Sinclair Setzer, Sr. and Ruby Estes Setzer. He was married to Malona Bean Setzer of the residence for 45 years. Mr. Setzer was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from General Electric. He was a member of New Life Baptist Church. Mr. Setzer dearly loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was patriotic and not ashamed to wave the colors of the flag. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Stacy Setzer and wife Cynthia of Lenoir; son, Jeffrey Setzer of Lenoir; brother, Joe Setzer of Lenoir; grandchildren, Joshua Setzer, Sebastian Setzer, Allyson Setzer, Colton Ryan Setzer; Jenna Wallace, John Godbey, Kaitlyn Peters; and great-granddaughter, Abbigail Wallace. A celebration of Mr. Setzer’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at 3:00 with Pastor Phillip Hawkins officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with military honors. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service.
