Odell Mclean

Lenoir - Hardy Odell McLean, 75, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 2nd at Grace Hospital in Morganton. He was a loving husband and father, and a friend to everybody. He was born December 26, 1940. He leaves behind a wife of 45 yrs Peggy; three sons Britton McLean, Barry McLean and wife, Tamie; Gary Clark and wife, Tammy; two daughters, Angela McLean and Tressa Church; five grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister Francis Coffey and husband Jerry; mother Gladys McLean; and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, James Hardy McLean, grandparents Claude & Bertha Severt, a grandson Christopher McLean. Odell was a member of Harris Chapel Baptist Church where he served as usher and helped wherever he was needed. He loved serving the Lord and he loved the outdoors. A celebration of Mr. McLean’s life will held at Harris Chapel Baptist Church on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ron Burgett officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clarence Beane, Larry Joplin, Tony Herman, Junior Church, Justin McLean and Nathan Price. Honorary pallbearer will be R.L. Herman.
