Norman Glenn Tester

Hudson, NC- Mr. Norman Glenn Tester, age 65, of Hudson, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, November 2, 2008 in Valdese General Hospital. Born June 13, 1943 in Orange County, NC, Mr. Tester was a son of the late Claude W. and Rose Edna Ward Tester. Mr. Tester was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Earline Church Tester; two daughters, Sherri Tester Bivins and husband Ronnie; Renea Tester Lunsford and husband Wes, all of Hudson; 3 sisters, Becky Morrow and husband Leonard; Mavis Littlejohn and husband Larry; Gail Triplett and husband Larry, all of Lenoir, two granddaughters, Kayla Bivins and Madison Lunsford, both of Hudson and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Basil, Olan and Kenneth Tester and one sister, Leta Kay Steele. A celebration of Mr. Tester?s life will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. Alan Carr and Reverend Chad Carswell officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 PM, one hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be: Charles Kincaid, Gene Ford, Jerome Ford, Tony Brakefield, Mike Greene and Sam Smith.
